DROPOUT KRAUT!
This week we feature Hulu's "The Dropout," (shout out to Stace for the recommendation)! It's a re-enactment of the true story of Elizabeth Holmes, who dropped out of Stanford to make a blood testing company and was eventually convicted for fraud. Um, Alec Mian, didn't you have the same idea as her and start a company back in the 90's? I hate the fact that one of the few women in science shown in the media turns out to be a hack. But the acting and show is pretty good so far, so I have to admit, I'm hooked. And I'm also hooked on these-
blood orange lemon ginger martinis!Here comes the dropout kraut-braised sauerkraut in tomato-gochujang broth topped with fried tofu with tomato powder and smoked paprika, sesame oil drizzle and cilantro, and red rice!
Next we have blended banana with lemon, cardamon, rum and cachaca
tostadito trio with melted cheddar, roasted tuscan kale, cabbage mango slaw, cubed paneer, and serrano, garlic, and white miso crema
homemade fettuccini with braised lamb tomato sauce for Mila, and tomato-coulis sauce and gruyere-parmesan for us, drizzled with sage-galic-mustard crema
charred red cabbage and broccoli with leftover sage-garlic-mustard crema, crispy skin salmon swimming in carrot jalapeno onion pickle juice
And finally, muddled blood orange, lemon, and thyme, with a grand marnier and gin
roasted beets and carrots salad with tuscan kale, garlic-mustard vinaigrette
and flatbreads!
topped with sauteed leeks and braised lamb or truffle burrato, balsamic drizzle and parmesan sprinkle
