TURKISH DELIGHT!




This week we highlight the Turkish Netflix Series "The Club" about a rebellious Jewish orphan teenager's relationship with a Muslim taxi driver and her mother who was just released from jail for murder. 
That was a mouthful-just like this Turkish delight...

Zoran's favorite dessert-Tufahija
(poached apple stuffed with cinnamon, walnuts topped with honey whipped cream and sour cherry).


and continuing with the Turkish them...
marinated eggplant topped with fried chickpeas, roasted delicata squash and sauteed spinach

for the next day:
wild sage and muddled lime reposado tequila, smoky mescale, and elderflower liquor


 tomato leek and snap pea pizza with a 96 hour fermented buckwheat dough, 
tuscan kale and persimmon salad dressed with lemon walnut mustard dressing and feta crumbs


caramelized apple chutney with pan-roasted maple syrup and apple cider vinegar glazed pork chop



roasted peppers stuffed with chana dal topped with baked yogurt egg sauce,
balsamic vinaigrette dressed arugula with shaved manchego

cauliflower leek and red cabbage moussaka topped with feta or crispy skin salmon
fresh kale salad with a smoked paprika dusting




The fail of the week (believe it or not, it really was Tata who made these and not me) 
chocolate prune and chickpea no-bake cookies
