PASS ME A MARTINI PLEASE

 "We're all just passing for something or other, aren't we?" is the theme of the excellent Netflix movie "Passing." This week I'm passing as if everything was normal, but it was a rough one! So yes, I was in great need of this muddled tangerine basil martini with lime juice, orange curacao and gin. 


Fresh heirloom tomato broth with roasted delicata squash and sauteed leeks 
topped with basil, smoked cheddar, and crispy fried onions


charred eggplant with snap peas, salmon or cheese melt trio
 (smoked cheddar, robusto gouda, and mozarella),balsamic swirl


November's chocolate tasting! Marana was the favorite for both of us!






Tofu sloppy joe, charred broccoli, tomato cucumber and fresno chili salad, with almond salsa macha 




oat and buckwheat flour tahini chocolate muffin tin cookies




roasted celery root with parmesan basil and crushed red peppers and a lemon juice splash

Marko is passing as pescatarian now so on his last night in LA we have...

grilled branzino and salmon dressed in rosemary tangerine anchiote 


afghan flatbread with yogurt lemon tahini and smoked paprika sauce, 
topped with grilled veggies and lime-salted corn kernels



leek brown bulgar with almond macha sauce and spinach and pickled red onion salad with salmon and feta




I'm glad this week has passed! But I must admit it ends delightfully as we dove right into the holiday season with Marsha's famous Christmas house swimming with decorations, carols, ratatouille, and fabulously snowy s'mores ice box pie!
