BITTER THINGS!

This week I'm featuring Hulu's "Better Things" because for some reason I find a show about a shrimpy Jewish woman raising teenage daughters that outgrew her when they were like 5 years old, kind of relatable : ) The show is sometimes a show about nothing, but then there are some really tender moments thrown into the mix! So, with that we start our week with Bitter Things:


                                Bitters sprinkled atop basil-thyme-lime muddled margarita





Green Israeli couscous with baby spinach, roasted beets, gorgonzola, and pickled red onion and chilis


                                added crispy skin salmon for the chef.






                            Nancy's famous salad with a dressing to die for: shallots, whole grain mustard, 

                                Dijon mustard, garlic, sherry vinegar, honey, olive oil, and thyme!


sauerkraut with Gochujang and tomato braise, cheesy for me


smoked ribs for the carnivores



                        And oooh triple passion fruit (custard, whipped cream, and dipped lady fingers) tiramisu, 

                                                        with a layer of chocolate ganache!




Next we have green curry with mango, tofu, and snap peas, 
kale salad with fried shallot crisps and brown rice with black sesame seeds.


This months chocolate tasting-where surprisingly the Icelandic chocolate on the right was the favorite!


And finally...

Sage, rieme, hypnotic, and tequila

and the originality (and surprisingly delicious) award goes to:
braised cauliflower in tomato-miso broth, green goddess pesto, and popcorn
cheesy for me, striped sea bass for the chef!
