OZARK DARK!

  This week we feature Ozark about a normal boring family that gets sucked into the dark side, forced into the drug trade due to an unfortunate turn of events. It's no Breaking Bad , but the acting is great, especially my favorite character, the small but mighty Ruth Langmore played by Julia Garner! Dark sour cherry, lemon, and thyme margaritas Crispy tofu and salmon steaks, crunchy rice, green goddess salad with snap peas, celery, and fennel with a green curry salad dressing.  Jumbo gnocchi made with spinach, yogurt, parmesan, and semolina, fresh heirloom tomato sauce,  shrimp and feta                  Saag paneer, roasted romanesco with smoked paprika yogurt sauce, and sauteed carrots with fried curry leaves and black mustard and caraway seeds and cumin, topped with goat feta And fitting with our theme, guest chef Dinora shared these dark flax and chia seed, coconut oil tortillas! RESURRECTION PEAR-TUGRUL!

We are still thoroughly enjoying the 1000s of episodes of Resurrection Ertugrul, "the Turkish Game of Thrones!" It keeps us on the edge of our seats, joyfully humming theme songs day and night, and dreaming of Erti's next escape plan! Like our misunderstood hero, this week I had to take matters into my own hands since Zoran was just not buying my Pear-tugral theme. And so we start off with:                                                      Pear trio baked into chocolate chip banana bread Charred eggplant in tomato broth topped with tuscan kale salad and afghan bread melted gruyere or pan roasted mahi mahi home-made crispy pita pocket with spicy mayo, roasted cheesey romanesco,  and mango red cabbage slaw home made sage parmesan lemon gnocchi, eggplant-beat and goat feta salad, kale and fried onion salad         ...

RESURRECTION ERTU-GALETTE

 Are you sick of Resurrection Ertugral yet? We're not! We've conquered the crusaders and have now moved on to the Mongols, and so we start with this Mongolian Galette: Buckwheat fermented galette dough, artichokes, no mercy hot peppers, cheese, and of course, Mongolian cumin-leek sauce! albacore tuna carpaccio with olive oil, blood orange, and balsamic drizzle with a mystery yellow splash passion fruit, lime, and fresno chile margaritas turmeric quinoa topped with pickled okra, tofu scramble, and kale and golden cherry tomato salad blood orange rosemary margarita baby mustard green and tomato salad with shaved parmesan and black pepper cabbage pancakes with melted cheddar and kale salad on top of cashew ancho chili and garlic crema with lemony crispy skin salmon blended passion fruit puree and gin roasted romanesco, melted gruyere, and tomato coulis (with lamb sausage) And we end with chocolate tasting of the month-what a joy! My favorite is the small one-I guess it's true ...

RESURRECTION ER-TACO!

It's the gift that keeps on giving! With over 70 episodes per season, we are still on season 1 of Resurrection Ertugral and eating it up... just like these roasted thyme and olive oil mushrooms and garlic, smoked paprika, cumin, olive oil and lemon marinated eggplant, and yogurt sour cream spinach TACOS And just like the Crusaders, this blueberry-apple clafoutis was attacked before I could get a good pic!
