WHAT'S FOR DINNER UNCLE TATA, SEASON 2!

We are back by popular demand (you know who you are : )! And this week we feature the phenomenal "The Patient," where psychiatrist (Steve Carell) gets kidnapped by his serial killer patient, who happens to be a foodie, so the one saving grace is that the captive gets to eat well. In line with that, we start off the blog return with...The (Covid) Patient gets soup! Yes, after 2.5 years, I finally succumbed after the most fabulous trip to London...and like the star of the show, I too am confined to a single room where I must say, at least I get to eat well...check out these soups! The chef returned to work! But don't panic...it was only for a goodbye party for his colleague...so only one xtra night of cheesy broccoli, oh yeah. Pick of the week: Roasted corn and garlic cold soup with miso lime broth-roasted bell peppers, poblano garlic and tomatillo salsa-cilantro and Fresno pepper garnish.  Tata's female doppelganger's daughter visits! Truffle Burrata OMG! Watermelon-lemon-lime-mint-orange liqueur and tequila margarita! Hallelujah!

Pick of the week is this cultural melting plate- Singapore inspired melting plate inspired by Somebody feed Phil - tzatziki, raw beet salad w green peppercorn mustard, lemon and almond meal, roasted tomatoes w basil and sherry vinegar, zucchini leek couscous, roasted eggplant chips, and braised tofu or braised short rib in Panang s auce. Amazing I have to say! And for dessert-passionfruit semifreddo tart, cashew ladyfinger and cocoa powder crumble, and roasted stoneground fruit.  And in case you felt something was missing, the dinner was preceded by this cocktail: peach cognac rum lemon and elderflower liqueur  Nothing better than frozen gazpacho on a hot summer day! Our passionfruit plant has been fruitful! But sadly, we've had some passionfruit roadkill Muddled strawberry-lime margarita with touch of orange curacao and smokey mescal followed by Melon gazpacho Zucchini-leak cus-cus,  chared eggplant with sherry vinaigrette tofu/short rib braised in penang curry sauce.
